Come see my page for exotic jewelry and had crafted art!!! Hurry hurry! =D

Hello all!
I invite you all to my page... Where theres hand crafted trinkets my mother and I have created with love (And have been doing for years!) Exotic Jewelry, and many more things!!!
Come see about my page, and have fun looking around my gallery!

All figurines are 100% hand made by my mother and I, something we've been doing for years upon years now. =)
We're just trying to get our art out to the world, and share it with people!
If you like what you see, just comment on the desired piece and I shall arrange something for you through paypal. =D
And if not, then just enjoy yourself while looking!

I have also posted jewelry of mine that I had bought not to long ago, but never wear!
So I must sell it to people who will show it the love that I cannot. =)
The prices might be a bit pricey, but I had paid a pretty penny myself, and I have lowered it a bit since I have owned them.
They are owned, but never worn!
So still brand new really. =)
And also the prices are the way they are due to where the pieces are from or their age etc.
But like all the listings say, everything is negotiable! =D
So fear not and email me with what you want to pay (Be considerable! lol) And I'll see if we can't work something out... =)
As for now, happy browsing and I hope you like the new stuffs!
And as always, new is always on the way!

-Rivaleka =D

I'm new to this tribe

I'm excited to find this! I'm a writer, belly dancer, teacher, and mother to four children, one step daugther (steppish, we're getting handfasted on the 30th of June), and with one more on the way. My partner is a visual artist. It does seem like everyone I meet in any of the fields we're involved in have no children and sometimes it seems next to impossible to connect. When I was a child (I'm the youngest of 5), my parents were hippy~artist types, but all of their friends seemed to have children and we'd gather and there would be plenty for us to do. Now, if I want to connect with other artists, i have to finagle a babysitter, arrive late and leave early for the most part. And that doesn't even include finding the time to create. I used to do that at night when it was just my daughters and me and I was unhappily married to someone who either worked overnight and later went out, or drank himself silly, but now I find I want my nights with my honey, so we haven't figured out the creating thing completely. I do a lot when my youngest naps and the others are in school. When I choregraph, I include my kids, they love shimmying, etc. But, I can't write with them around, I'd take their heads off if they bothered me. I'm too intense then. My partner creates big, so that makes things difficult for him now that's he's lacking a studio. And he uses a lot of materials not suitable for children to work with, so he can't create with them. Any suggestions? I'll stop rambling now.

Her auntie took her down to Oregon fair for a couple weeks. They pulled in last night at 10:30.
O, man, it's hard to let go of an 11yr old for such a big trip, even with someone as safe and caring as an auntie! It's good for all, tho. My girl, we'll call Kitten, she's a budding artist. I think she got a lot out of the sites and sounds. She came back with drawings of her own and bought art, and stories, stories, stories.
My heart is filled with happiness that she could experience this, a little green that I didn't go, and a hope that she'll take the trip and use it as a grounding point when going into that big, big highschool next year.

arty christmas traditions

does anyone here do anything unique at christmas? special crafts? secret hideaways? arty family traditions?

We have started the custom, instead of a calendar, we add another christmassy thing each day..

most are recurring favorits, which have to be made, brought out the box, sung, watched, read,- but each year I make a few new additions, and other things get left aside.

For smaller children, I saw this tradition where some smaller christmas gifts were "Tree Presents". They would survive the initial unwrapping organza until the next day or more, sitting within the branches. This way the kids have some more little trinkets to unwrap when hangover day comes.. as and when it might be a good moment.

What do you do?
