does anyone here do anything unique at christmas? special crafts? secret hideaways? arty family traditions?
We have started the custom, instead of a calendar, we add another christmassy thing each day..
most are recurring favorits, which have to be made, brought out the box, sung, watched, read,- but each year I make a few new additions, and other things get left aside.
For smaller children, I saw this tradition where some smaller christmas gifts were "Tree Presents". They would survive the initial unwrapping organza until the next day or more, sitting within the branches. This way the kids have some more little trinkets to unwrap when hangover day comes.. as and when it might be a good moment.
